What affects hatching cost?
Cost of every hatch is determined by 3 factors:
Pet level
The higher level the pet is, the higher the hatching cost. Cost is always calculated based on level of a parent that has it the highest. Cheapest hatch is between two Adult pets and most expensive if one of the pets is Mega or Ultra (same price). Example: Adult + Mega = Cost is calculated based on level of the Mega pet.
Total pedigree
Total pedigree is the sum of pedigree of all abilities in both of the pet's ability pools. The higher it is (pet has more rare abilities), the higher the hatching cost. Cost is always calculated based on total pedigree of a parent that has it the highest. Cheapest hatch is between two pets that both have total pedigree lower than 61 (so between 20-60) and most expensive if one of the pets has total pedigree of 100. Example: 45 + 89 = Cost is calculated based on total pedigree of 89.
In-Person vs. via Hatchmaking Kiosk
Hatching via Hatchmaking Kiosk approximately doubles the cost of the hatch. So if you are tight on gold, always try to hatch in-person. Either by searching for in-person hatches in Hatchmaking Kiosk, in the hatchery or online (ie. Discord).
